It's called 'end of year volleyball'...I work in IT..have worked on


the commercial end of SW development as well.

IT guys are pressuring vendors to provide XYZ so they can tick a box on project plans to report back to CTO / CIO...and they wait until the last minute because they can just blame the vendor. If you have a STRONG IT leadership, they will piss on that and tell them you should have figured that out MANY weeks ago...don't expect vendors to jump through hoops at the end of the year.

It's all a silly game...most often times its less experienced people doing the asking but as the face of the vendor you have to do what you can.

I hate that. I'm not going back to commercial ware ever. I'll stick to my IT role and be a 'nice guy' when it comes to this stuff. Get your rear in gear before even Thanksgiving!!!
